PROMOTIONS & CERTIFICATION

Triangle Martial Arts Association, inc. provides promotional events and advancement certification through a number of organizations to allow Triangle students and others to advance in grade or rank in their particular disciplines. Master Mike Pierce (TKD) is the international director of the TMAA Promotions & Certifications office.
PROMOTIONAL EVENTS
TMAA conducts a number of promotional advancement events throughout the year at various locations, through the coordination of local TMAA chapters and schools. These events include color belt and black belt promotional advancement events. As a multi-disciplinary organization, many of our promotional events are also multi-disciplinary and frequently involve students of many different disciplines all participating and exchanging friendship and knowledge in a fun, energized, and fulfilling event.
Color belt promotional events are organized at the regional and local level by our Chapter coordinators. All Triangle students and invited candidates are welcome and encouraged to participate in these mixed discipline events.
Black belt promotional events are organized at the regional and local level by our Chapter coordinators and are conducted by our Grand Master and Master Instructor staff. All Triangle black belt holders, Triangle senior students, and eligible invited candidates are most welcome and encouraged to participate in these mixed discipline events.
Participants in either color belt or black belt promotional events who are recognized candidates for advancement will be assessed and confirmed for advancement by the appropriate TMAA conducting authority at each event.
RANK CERTIFICATION SERVICES
Under the supervision and authorization of TMAA's Grand Master Martin N. Marcus (TaeKwon-Do) and Grand Master Ken Craig (HapMoosaKi-Do, TaeKwon-Do, YongChul-Do), our Promotions & Certification Office can facilitate the processing of grade and rank advancement for all Triangle students and non-Triangle students who meet the requirements established for advancement recognition with the requested organization or association.

INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION SERVICES Instructor certification and training is undertaken by our Instructor Training & Certification Program (ITCP) which is a part of the Promotions and Certification Office. A comprehensive instructor training, continuing education, and advancement program, the ITCP allows both color belt and black belt instructors to obtain credible certifiation while learning the requisite skills and knowledge to help them excel in their particular fields. ITCP is non-discipline specific and is designed to provide quality information and guidance in a number of specific areas of interest to instructors, school owners, and martial arts associations including: @ Core Lessons @ General Lessons @ Humanities Lessons @ Social Sciences Lessons @ Business & Organizational Lessons @ Art & Program Lessons @ Additional Certification Courses
Established very much in a similar fashion to college courses, instuctors may obtain certification at a variety of levels depending upon their current discipline ranking and completion of course requirements as follows: 1 Professor of Martial Arts (PMA) 2 Master Instructor of Martial Arts (MMA) 3 Senior Instructor of Martial Arts (SMA) 4 Instructor of Martial Arts (IMA) 5 Associate Instructor of Martial Arts (AMA) 6 Assistant Instructor of Martial Arts (AMA(C) color belt ranking)
