What Is The Technical Advisory Committee?

The TMAA Technical Advisory Committee is an international body comprised of one principal advisor and one deputy advisor from each martial discipline that is recognized or taught under the TMAA umbrella. The TAC is charged with helping to determine discipline related policy, procedures, and standards as well as establishing grade and dan advancement guidelines.

Each international technical advisor is elected to office by the a vote of the national technical advisors within the discipline they represent. At this time, four seats are available on the TAC of which all four are currently filled. Seats and advisory positions will be added as new disciplines are included under the TMAA umbrella, or as suitable candidates are identified to represent discplines not formally included under the TMAA umbrella.
