International Technical Director

Tournaments provide a wonderful opportunity for students to meet fellow martial artists from other disciplines and clubs, around their own regional area for some events, and worldwide for others. They also provide a good opportunity for others to see meet and play with us.

Contrary to many tournament events out there today, Triangle events are fun, friendly, and educationally based. The focus is to learn, meet new friends, re-acquaint ourselves with old friends, and to share knowledge and experience on the floor and in the bleachers. TMAA's tournament model is unique, cutting edge, and attractive to almost everyone.

  • Most Triangle touranments are multi-disciplinary events, encouraging the participation of ALL martial artists.
  • ALL Triangle tournaments embrace diversity and equality in every division - male, female, and intersex individuals participate in the same divisions, segregated only by age and experience.
  • All players are required to complete an annual orientation seminar in order to participate, helping to ensure that everyone is familiar with the rules of the tournament and the conduct expectations of players, coaches, and spectators.
