"Building a better tomorrow, By starting today"
INTRODUCTION Triangle Martial Arts Association is unique amongst many in that we welcome, embrace, and promote all martial arts disciplines and most variants of each discipline. Our purpose and goal is to promote quality instruction, outstanding training opportunities, and an equal and diverse environment in which everyone may train, learn, and advance. In appointing a Triangle club, we require the Chief Instructor to follow the ethical and moral precepts established by TMAA, and we provide a wealth of information, support, advice, and assistance to help that Chief Instructor run and grow their club. We do not in any way try to maintain control over the day to day operations of any such Triangle club and all Chief Instructors have the autonomous right to develop and employ their own curriculum and standards of promotion within the guidelines provided by the disciplines International Technical Director. INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL DIRECTORS For each discipline recognized by TMAA, a senior (usually a high ranking and experienced instructor) is appointed to the Technical Advisory Committee as an International Technical Director for their particular discipline. International Technical Directors help to establish the broad parameters for appropriate and suitable execution of the techniques of their speciality discipline through discussions with the other committee members and the International Instructors Executive Council. It is the responsibility of the International Technical Directors to review all potential new Triangle instructors who approach us and request assignment as a Chief Instructor or Triangle Instructor at one of our clubs. REGIONAL CHIEF INSTRUCTORS / PRESIDENTS Each significant region in the nations in which TMAA operates are assigned either a regional Chief Instructor (where there is a Triangle certified instructor present) or a regional President. These individuals coordinate the efforts of all Triangle clubs, instructors, and students within the region and report to the national council on areas of concern, improvement, and making recommendations for enhancements or adjustments in program or discipline content. |
