VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME OR SKILLS

Volunteering your time to a worthwhile cause, such as TMAA, is a noble and positive way to benefit the whole community at large. There are a multitude of different ways in which you can volunteer to help our TMAA.

• ADVISORY COMMITTEES - As most non-profit organziations rely on a very small staff of paid professionals for their business and operational functions, we're always seeking out business professionals to provide advice, support, pro-bono hours to help us achieve our mission and program goals. Our advisory committes are set up to allow you do donate your special expertiese or knowledge at any committment level suitable to you.  You can commit a couple of hours a month, or a couple of hours a week.  We are always looking for accountants, lawyers, marketing professionals, printers, party planners, physical therapists and a host of other professional help. Let us know your skills, and we'll put you to work in support of TMAA.

• FRIENDS OF TMAA  - The friends of TMAA are a group of individuals, some are partners or spouses of students while others are simply supportive of our mission, who make themselves available to volunteer their time and energy to specific projects or tasks TMAA undertakes in the community. This may involve handing out flyers at PRIDE parades, registering participants at community self-defense seminars, setting up our audio-visuals for a community lecture, taking PR pictures of events, and a host of other opportunities.  If you'd like to become a Friend Of TMAA simply contact your Regional President and get on our Friends Contact List. We'll send you an e-mail when we need volunteers to help out, and you can commit as much time as you have available.

• IN KIND SUPPORT - Do you run a printing store, are you a landlord with space you'd like to donate to our classes, would you like to offer discounts to our card carrying students at your business?  Building strong cooperative and community ties is an important part of being an effective non-profit these days, and TMAA is no different. We're always willing to work with other businesses and individuals who share our mission goals and operational ideals. Contact us, and let us see how we, can help you, help us!
